Clopton Lloyd-Jones (under Notable Players)

I notice the entry listing Clopton Lloyd-Jones shows the St George Cross flag used to denote England football internationals. He never played as an international for England and though he did get selected to play in an international for Wales against England at Preston in 1885, for unknown reasons he did not appear and was substituted.Cloptonson (talk) 14:11, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Need for citation and disambiguation

On 27 September 1884, a match versus Aston Villa was abandoned 1–1 after all the match balls were burst possibly on purpose by the home team players and home supporters.

The one sentence paragraph, at the end of the History section, is uncited. It is also ambiguous as it is not made clear which one was the home ground team. A newspaper report of the match if it could be accessed may make it clear.Cloptonson (talk) 18:46, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
