Alice Lee Grosjean, 1930-1932
[edit]James J. Bailey died in 1930 and could not have held this office until 1932 as currently claimed.
Alice Lee Grosjean, who at 25 was appointed unilaterally by Huey Long in 1930, should at least be mentioned. She was only in office one year (1930)
Her appointment is addressed in numerous secondary sources:
William Ivy Hair, The Kingfish and his Realm: The Life and Times of Huey P. Long (New York: Louisiana State University Press, 1991). Pg 208
White, Richard D. Kingfish: The Reign of Huey P. Long (New York: Random House, 2006) page 153

Current list of secretaries incomplete and inconsistent
[edit]The National Association of Secretaries of State official list of Secretaries of State for Louisiana (see page 67) does not match the current (8/4/23) list of secretaries. The list omits secretaries with short tenures, include Edward E. Everett (1912) and Alice Lee Grosjean (1930-2) 70.160.246.128 (talk) 03:37, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
