"excommunicated" (unclear from what) in 1926 for "left deviationism"
was a vocal anti-communist at the time of writing (book was published in 1954); so being a spy "from 8 years after the war" (1953) seems strange -- at best, it seems she would have been in a position to provide sensitive information on communists for just one year. Fits with article stating that she testified before HUAC in the 40s
the date that Stalin & the German Communism was published is given as 1948 in Cambridge USA, not 1955 in Paris France.
