I'm going to be altering capitalization of several section headings, links, and terms throughout this article to conform with the naming conventions and style for capitalization. I'm going to edit section-by-section, so I wanted to explain here rather than putting in the links to the appropriate pages in each individual edit summary. While Benois lived and worked in the symbolist era, it would be difficult to call him a symbolist. He is probably better classified as a member of the World of Art (Mir iskusstva) group, along with Somov, Bakst, and others. This article mentions this group, calling it a part of the symbolist movement, but aside from working around the same time, the work of the Mir iskusstva artists is very different in form and attitude from that of "true" symbolists such as Mikhail Vrubel'. This article uses two Benois images, the illustration of Pushkin's "The Bronze Horseman" and the stage design for Petrushka. Any work of Vrubel's, on the other hand, is conspicuously absent. To avoid the risk of misrepresenting the symbolist movement, consider removing or changing these images. Pdmeyer (talk) 19:47, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
