Note about sources
[edit]I'm struggling to find a reliable source, however from the google books search, his work seems to be cited a lot, so I guess he's probably notable. PhilKnight (talk) 23:30, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
I am a reliable source. He was my first philosophy professor, starting in September 1967. We remained friends until his death. Requested move 28 May 2022
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
Procedural close. Moved first proposal. Second proposal not moved. The basename, "Roger Schmidt" is now a disambiguation page. Page move was done by DesconhecidoPT while the basename was dabified by IAmChaos. See below that editors pretty much WP:SNOWly agree with these actions. Closing this to remove it from the malformed request list. Thanks and kudos to editors for your input; good health to all! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'r there 01:51, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
– The football manager is clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC by page views and long-term significance. Page view stats [here], the football manager has 50x more page views currently. Ortizesp (talk) 02:47, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom or at least DAB if there is no consensus for the 2nd. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:21, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related page moves. GiantSnowman 10:41, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support 1st move, oppose 2nd move, and create dab page at base instead - no PRIMARY. GiantSnowman 10:44, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support Roger Schmidt → Roger Schmidt (academic) per nomination; Crouch, Swale and GiantSnowman. Oppose Roger Schmidt (football manager) → Roger Schmidt and support creation of a Roger Schmidt disambiguation page that would list both men per Crouch, Swale and GiantSnowman. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 02:11, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support 1st, but would prefer Roger Schmidt (theologian), as "academic" is a terrible disambiguator. Oppose 2nd -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:11, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
- Note: I saw the redirect in the new pages queue and converted it to a dab BEFORE i was aware of this discussion being under way. I do not mean to interrupt the discussion, or to influence any points of view, feel free to undo my work. Happy Editing--IAmChaos 00:56, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
