Notability
[edit]Are there any reliable sources that are about about Roger Holzberg in specific? Or is he incidental to all the coverage? czar 16:54, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- This is a BLP, not an abstract topic. Per WP:NBIO, "If the depth of coverage in any given source is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be combined to demonstrate notability"; the mentions are not trivial, as they are not merely, for example, inclusions in a list of names. That said, there are some more focused sources that could be added to the article.[1][2] bd2412 T 17:17, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- Those two sources are a bio (likely created by the individual) and press release—they wouldn't count towards notability by any measure... czar 17:58, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- The article subject is the writer of an Academy Award-nominated documentary. I'm just not seeing a notability issue here. bd2412 T 20:28, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- If his role in that documentary was important, where are the sources saying so? That qualification does not warrant an automatic pass of the criteria—what sources discuss the subject in detail? czar 20:40, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
- I would say that the middle section of the New York Times piece, already in the article, provides more than incidental coverage. I have also found Deborah Todd, Game Design: From Blue Sky to Green Light (2007), p. 32-33, 37-39, which gives a fairly lengthy discussion to Holzberg's approach to game design, which was an aspect of his job while heading Imagineering. bd2412 T 20:49, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
