Although I do not dispute that the grave is fake I want to add some information given in a German documentary series. German public TV produces a programme named "Mythos - Die größten Rätsel der Geschichte" (translated: Myth - History's Greatest Mysteries). In the 2022 Robin Hood episode, scientists and historians such as Mike Clark or Sean McGlynn dig deeper into the legends surrounding RH. The grave and also Kirklees Priory are looked into. The date on the grave is explained as follows: 24 Kal Dekembris means 24 days before the kalend (meaning beginning) of December, which points to the 8th of November (lat. VI idus novembris). As this article here states that there is no such thing as 24 kal Dekembris it would be interesting to know why there are different takes on the date.
