The Third?

[edit]

The current use of "Richard Snowden III" in one section heading and one sentence strikes me as confusing. IMO, if there are sufficient sources referring to him in that manner, then it should be used throughout the article; otherwise, it should not be used at all. Either way, I don't think there should be a section heading that essentially repeats the name of the article. Opinions? -- Pemilligan (talk) 16:08, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree the usage of the "III" suffix is confusing. One suggestion is to rename that section as "Property" and move its final paragraph about his death to the Legacy section. —ADavidB 18:43, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good ideas. I have implemented them. -- Pemilligan (talk) 21:09, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the inline "Richard Snowden III" could be changed to "his son Richard". —ADavidB 18:45, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your suggestion to move the last paragraph down to the Legacy section gave me the idea to move the first sentence up to the Foundations section. I then dropped "III" and changed "his father" to "his father, Richard Snowden Jr." -- Pemilligan (talk) 21:16, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Very good. I think these are definite improvements. —ADavidB 02:15, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
