Move

[edit]

I did ask why this was moved from Richard Durning Holt. After a bit more digging, I'm still not convinced that "Sir Richard Holt" is the more common name. Eg: Google Books search returns around 30k mentions of "Richard Durning Holt" and I know that I have seen expressed that way in a multitude of sources. WP:BARONET only applies if "Richard Durning Holt" is not the common form ... and even if it did apply, I'm not sure why we would say "1st Baronet" when in fact he appears to have been the only one.

I'm not sure that I can be bothered pursuing this at the moment but I do put it on record that I am unhappy with the move made today. - Sitush (talk) 16:46, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Political career

[edit]

Per the Hexham constituency page, he was re-elected there twice in 1910 - but then what ? Why did he not stand there in 1918 ?

Also, why have the box for the Eccles election that he lost but not fot the Hexham elections that he won ? -- Beardo (talk) 06:36, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
