Merge proposal
[edit]I propose merging the Ponticum section subsections to this article, and building up lists for the the other subsections here rather than creating new pages. Many of the subsection articles are two-element lists, which are unwarranted; the others are short and easily accommodate here, even if the table view is preferred. That would still give us 3 levels of structure, from Genus, to Hymenanthes, to subgenus; this seems sufficient. The current subsection pagess include:
- Rhododendron subsect. Arborea
- Rhododendron subsect. Fortunea
- Rhododendron subsect. Fulva
- Rhododendron subsect. Grandia
- Rhododendron subsect. Pontica

- There are substantial differences between the sections and the list are relatively long the number of species listed on the Rhododendron subg. Hymenanthes is wrong. You can either put Section Ponticum as a entire list with the sections or keep the structure. --Cs california (talk) 18:35, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
