Talk:Ravenskull (video game)
Citing published sources for verification to meet the criteria.
[edit]I have updated the Plot section adding the paragraph that starts: 'The castle is defended on all four levels... to ...dropped into position.' in May 2017. However, when I checked there is no upload on the internet of the cassette inlay card showing the objects in the game and description that I could find, it folds out - it is a source of my paragraph - and I cannot upload my own original copy because I haven't got a scanner. I have personally completed this game on an original Acorn Electron so I am writing about itt with full knowledge having played it to completion.
Issue raised and solution: The two references do not contain any reference to this game Ravenskull (1986) on the 2 links listed for Acorn User in References when I checked, and so a Wikipedia Editor should remove both links 1 and 2 in References. The motivation for these references was to funnel people to Superior Interactive, because there is this there ready, to try and sell the Windows version, which looks absolutely nothing like the original game, and the creators of the BBC Micro and Acorn Electron version may not have sanctioned it, but probably don't own the rights to it relinquishing the rights when Superior Software published it. It would appear this has been locked so cannot be accessed the references and remove them or add other references such as the links I have found that could be added to verify the part of the archive published source required.
I have found a source for citation to verify published information about this game released in magazine archive scan dated 1986/1987: This could be used to replace the current references because they show the published articles achive. This link is a reference to Electron User magazine review (scan) for Ravenskull in January 1987 issue published http://www.acornelectron.co.uk/mags/eu/ills/4_04/s-p15.jpg This link is to a published advert full page by Superior Software Ltd in the publication Electron User magazine in the same issue (scan): http://www.acornelectron.co.uk/mags/eu/ills/4_04/s-p63.jpg
If someone wants to amend the Reference section and remove 1 and 2 for Acorn User because it has no information about Ravenskull and replace with the links above it does then at least show the correct source material, and should meet the criteria partly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MJTaylor26 (talk • contribs) 15:53, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
