Satellite jamming
[edit]This section is quite misleading:
- From the early 1970s, satellites generating swinging carrier signals were used to interfere even more effectively.[4]
Most readers will think orbiting satellites were used to jam radio broadcasts (implicitly short wave broadcasts), this would be quite the achievement!
The original source says that the Soviet Union and it's satellite states started using swept sine waves (sweeping around 2-4 kHz offset from the target carrier) to jam short wave reception.

[edit]I definitely think, that this article is not good. Even the first sentence, mentioning the control of media in the Soviet Union is highly incorrect!
- Agreed. The article almost gives the impression there was only one station/network in the USSR. Some details of the different stations and the types of programming on each should be given. Also mention should be made of domestic and external services. 213.40.227.62 (talk) 19:22, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
