Expansion and revision in progress
[edit]With some students in a professional writing program, I will be working on revising this page to add credible sources and expand the article over the next 6 weeks or so. AngelaVietto (talk) 17:30, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- Greetings,
- Let me know if you need any help; my bachelor's is in Rhetoric (the only such department in the US) at UC Berkeley, my Master's in Professional Writing from the now-extinct dept. at USC. Joel J. Rane (talk) 20:18, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- I'm going to try to contribute as well. As it stands, this article needs a lot of work. For a start, it needs to distinguish between writing professionally (that is, writing in a "professional" way) and professional writing (as a profession in itself) - I've made that distinction in the lead. The piece on rhetoric is a little complex, and there need to be other sections on genres, for example. I'll start hunting for some decent citations, too.
