Translated form German?

[edit]

@Hohenfeld: It seems that the article had been partially translated form German. Am I right? Викидим (talk) 06:41, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Correct. I translated the article and then added as much information and references as I could. Still more to be done, but I judged it sufficient as it stands to be migrated to main at this stage. Hohenfeld (talk) 22:36, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Minor note: WP:TFOLWP in this case prescribes mentioning the fact of translation in the comment to to edit. I will do it post-factum right now. Викидим (talk) 23:14, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

COI claim?

[edit]

@Killarnee: Dear colleague, you have asserted a WP:COI claim against our colleague Hohenfeld. What are your grounds for it? COI is a pretty heavy accusation of "contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial or other relationships". Given that Popponids are entirely confined to the early medieval times and are thus separated from any living human by a millennium, it seems highly unlikely that any of connections listed above can apply. Can you please elaborate the reason for your action in more detail? Викидим (talk) 22:34, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hohenfeld creates articles about a family named Hohenfeld so I thought it would be better someone checks that and related pages for NPOV. If you think these articles are neutral feel free to remove the tag. BTW COI isn't heavy nor an accusation, other than undisclosed paid editing it's not even against the terms of use. Killarnee (talk) 23:05, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think we can safely assume that Hohenfeld is not a member of Popponids. I do not think also that Popponids can be Hohenfeld's "family, friends, clients, employers, or ... financial ... relationships". This leaves the option of "other relationships" open, but, until I learn something specific, I would WP:assume good faith and remove the hatnote. For the avoidance of doubt, I have no position on the Hohenfeld family tree. Викидим (talk) 23:33, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This family has been extinguished for nearly a thousand years, please realize the ridiculousness of me or anyone having a relation (let alone a financial one). In fact, I believe practically half Western Europe will be related to these individuals. Hohenfeld (talk) 23:45, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
