last man to become Pope without being a Cardinal first ?

Is Urban IV the last man to become Pope without being a Cardinal first ? It says so on the August 29 page. Can someone confirm this, please ? This may be good info to include in the article. -- PFHLai 18:46, 2005 August 24 (UTC)

There were only 8 cardinals to elect him anyway. He wasn't a cardinal, but he was Patriarch of Jerusalam. I've added some details, because this was essentially a political pope. --Wetman 05:43, 27 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question. On the main page it says in the "did you know" section "that the election of Dominican friar Laurence de Ergadia as Bishop of Argyll in Scotland was voided by Pope Urban IV in 1274 on a technicality?" but the date of death for Pope Urban is listed as 1264 in his article.
