Talk Page for the Phenomenology Disambiguation Page

[edit]

This previously re-directed to the talk page for the article on Husserl's phenomenology, but the disambiguation page itself has issues which need to be resolved. I just revised it to remove some problems: e.g., only part of Husserl's work is properly called "transcendental phenomenology" - that's not accurate as a general title for Husserlian phenomenology. "Dialectical phenomenology" is a term I don't find applied ever to Hegel's work; the only use I know is to describe the work of Michael Kosok. I re-added the use of phenomenology with reference to Berkeley et al.KD Tries Again (talk) 15:20, 25 February 2009 (UTC)KD Tries Again[reply]

Problem with Phenomenology (Peirce)

[edit]

The link to Phenomenology (Peirce) is a redirect to Classification of the sciences (Peirce). There is nothing in that article about phenomenology, hence I would be inclined to delete the link from the page. However, it's likely Peirce did have a notable phenomenology (e.g., I found this reference: Rosensohn, William L. (1974), The phenomenology of Charles S. Peirce: From the doctrine of categories to phaneroscopy, Gruner, 110 pages, (ISBN 978-9060320242, ISBN 90-6032-024-7)), but in that case the link would be informative only if it was to an article entitled Phenomenology (Peirce).Robert P. Not to be confused with . . .

[edit]

Phenology . . . might this be added, since there is potential for confusion? For myself, I came looking for information on phenomenology only to later discover that it was phenology I was after. Confusion with Phrenology and Phonology is perhaps less likely though those are dabbed at phenology, along with phenomenology. thanks Geopersona (talk) 05:06, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Added Phenology and Phrenology. Phonology I'll leave to the judgment of other editors. Paradoctor (talk) 12:24, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
