Descendants

[edit]

I'm removing this entire section due to factual inaccuracy:

Among his descendants are Natalia Pushkinaand the Royal Houses of Luxembourg-Nassau-Weilburg (Count of Merenberg) Great Britain (Mountbatten, Mountbatten-Windsor) and the imperial House of Russia (Romanov, Countess de Torby) by Natalia Goncharova's daughter Nathalya Pushkin, Countess of Merenberg, married to Nikolaus Wilhelm of Nassau, brother of Adolphe, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, and therefore with almost all Royal and ruling European houses.

In fact NONE of these Royal Houses descend from Natalia Puskina. Pushkina married a minor member of the house of Nassau-Weilbury morganatically, and therefore none of her descendants (titled Counts/Countesses of Merenberg) were dynastic or Royal. The House of Nassau Weilburg itself are not her descendants. One member of the House of Merenberg did marry a Romanov, again morganatically, the descendants being non-dynastic and non-Royal, and styled Counts/Countesses de Torby. The Imperial House of Russia does not descend from her, only this morganatic off-shoot. Both the houses of Merenberg and de Torby are today extinct. No member of either married into any other European Royal House, therefore rather than "almost all Royal and ruling European houses", there is in fact NO Royal House in Europe descended from Puskin. The only connection to the House of Mountbatten is the marriage of a de Torby to a non-royal family of that family. There is no blood connection at all to the Mountbatten-Windsors (Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh is from a different branch of the Mountbattens).
