New opposition leader?

[edit]

It's not on here. Also emphasise he is from the Labor Right? 132.234.228.8 (talk) 02:35, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Did Eta come to Australia with Peter Sr or not?

[edit]

According to this ref, Eta and Peter Sr met in Australia, however this ref implies they had already met before coming to Australia. Thoughts? Timeshift (talk) 12:13, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The second ref just says they "fled to SA after World War II"—it doesn't say they fled together. I would go with the first reference which is quite specific and says they met in Bathurst. --Canley (talk) 13:57, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That was more or less what I was thinking, but thought it worth raising anyway. Timeshift (talk) 14:03, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Are you suggesting a constitutional issue with citizenship Timeshift? Someone from the Labour Left here trying to cause problems? 101.183.21.131 (talk) 08:29, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Dual citizenship is not an issue in state parliament. --Scott Davis Talk 06:31, 20 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like someone from the labor left is trying to put some kompromat about Peter Malinauskas so that they can get Susan Close as premier. Please leave the internal politicking of the labor party out of wikipeida :) 2001:8003:6A23:2C00:43B:AEDA:137A:DB0D (talk) 13:13, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bad photo

[edit]

Someone from the labour left has intentionally tried to put a very bad photo of Peter Malinauskas, similar to the "crazy girlfriend" photo, to make him look like a psychopath. It would be good if there was a photo used that didn't show him straight on eyes starring at the camera, that is a nicer photo. A photo similar to the angle used for Bill Shorten would be nice 101.183.21.131 (talk) 12:43, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only free image we have, which one of our users went out and took (not a Left plant, obviously). Want a better one? Go take it. Frickeg (talk) 13:15, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, 101.183.21.131, that may be your opinion - but I'm the photographer who took this photo (and actually I'm not affiliated any political party, though as an active community member and volunteer, I've met a number of politicians at various functions, see my photo gallery), and generally (as with Malinauskas in this instance) I find that they are only too happy to have their photo taken, especially when I say it's for Wikimedia Commons. As Frickeg suggests, if you think you can do a better job, perhaps you should stop complaining and just try it. Bahudhara (talk) 13:26, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
