Pop culture
[edit]Can we put down that he was a standing joke in Drop the Dead Donkey, and his picture was on the noticeboard of the office every week as winner of the 'Slimy Git of the Week' award? Jomunro (talk) 21:26, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
'Satirist'
[edit]I'd hardly call his efforts 'satire' but can't think of a better NPOV description... Hugh Jaycoch (talk) 19:48, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- It is, perhaps, more parody than anything. TheRetroGuy (talk) 10:42, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
- It is more shite than anything. --OhNoPeedyPeebles (talk) 16:59, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Land of Hope and Glory
[edit]Can we include his take of Land of Hope and Glory, at least in part anyway? TheRetroGuy (talk) 21:56, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
For anyone who's interested it goes
- "Land of chattering classes, no more pageantry
- Darlings, raise your glasses, to brave modernity.
- Who needs Nelson or Churchill? The past is so passe.
- Britain's now about Britpop, and the River Cafe.
- God, this place is so frumpy, let's be more like LA".
Not sure if there were any more versus after that, but if we can find a reliable source I don't see why we shouldn't include it. I picked this up from here but I guess there are bound to be others floating around. TheRetroGuy (talk) 10:39, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
