Pete Rugolo is also a producer.

Pete Rugolo signed Miles Davis to Capitol Records and he was the producer of all three recording sessions which took place from 1949 - 1950 in New York and were subsequently released as a dozen singles and then collectively as the iconic 'Birth of the Blues' - also released by Capitol Records in 1957.
