[edit]Is Pelikan German or Suisse manufacturer? Their hedquaters are in Switzerland, but the article says that the company is German.Ratipok (talk) 00:55, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
It is neither. You can find the whole history on Pelikan's own website. The German company founded in Hanover went bankrupt circa 1980's and it's proprietorship was entrusted to the renown Swiss, but who later themselves encountered financial difficulty and indifferently sold the company down the river to a Malaysian subsidiary. The modern day Pelikan is listed as a Malaysian company and is under the leadership of a Malaysian known as Loo Hooi Keat. It is therefore entirely misleading to say it is either a German or Swiss manufacturer, as the latter is of value and interest to the kind of customer who would buy something just because they think it is German or Swiss of which this company is neither. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.182.186.184 (talk) 16:33, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
Redirect?
[edit]For some reason, Coccoina redirects to this page, instead of to a page about the plant glue linked from here. This feels like a pretty big error. Worldnamer (talk) 01:37, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
"This article contains content that is written like an advertisement"
[edit]The article has carried this hatnote since January 2013. Our encyclopedia does not need to be an advertising brochure for Pelikan pens. If there is no strong objection, I plan to shortly remove most of the details about particular models of pens. —Mark Dominus (talk) 12:16, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
- I have trimmed the discussion of Pelikan's specific products, and removed the hatnote. —Mark Dominus (talk) 05:21, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
