[edit]The Papers page benefits from a more thorough review and edit on a number of points:
- Missing information:
1) In the first paragraph there could be a mention of annotations being one of the tasks performed with Papers
2) Under development there is information missing on Papers 2, the second version of Papers released in 2011
3) Information on Papers 3 is not objective but rather reads like an opinion made to look like a fact. The majority of Papers 3 users did not experience the issues quoted, and the reported bugs in Papers 3 have been addressed. The reference used to state Papers was unusable points to the same blog by the same user also quoted elsewhere. This reflects a single case, not a general overview of the experience for all users and lacks objectivity.
4) The last phrase states "unresponsive support and the unusual way of handling support matters on a private basis, i. e no public discussions of bug reports", this is again an opinion. The Papers team has expanded considerably to accommodate a growing user base (http://papersapp.com/about/). The Papers team remains active through social media channels to address concerns, as well as through a private support system. Support is kept private to respect the privacy of users as they often have to share confidential information with the support team if an issue occurs.
5) The paragraph about the Mac product is missing an update on Papers 3 for Mac
6) The paragraph about the Mac product states "This version is also reported to corrupt the database", which is based on one blogpost and the experience of one user. Papers 2 is a stable product used worldwide and the overgeneralization should be corrected to reflect the average user experience, not generalize from one user's experience only.
7) information is missing for the Windows version of the product.
8) For the section discussing the iPad/iPhone version: content should be updated to reflect that Papers 3 for iOS has been released and includes unified search. The information presented here is severely outdated.
- Outdated information: the screenshot shown is for an old version of Papers. Suggested update: include a screenshot of Papers 3.
- Suggested additions: include a screenshot of the Papers for iOS interface and Papers for Windows (new version is forthcoming: http://earlypreview.papersapp.com/).
Furthermore, the article is categorized incorrectly by being listed under OSX-only software, now that there is a Windows version since 2012.

[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The requested changes were not specific enough. Please see the reply section below for additional information about this request. |
Papers, as described on this page, was purchased by the company ReadCube in 2017. Since November 2018, this version of Papers is no longer sold. It was transformed into ReadCube Papers, and will eventually be called Papers again with a different logo. This page should be archived or at least let people know this is a legacy version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Podv (talk • contribs) 22:16, 22 August 2019 (UTC)
