[edit]

I thought that this article needed improvement. I tried to fix some of the confusing sentence structure and organization. The introduction was poorly organized. The importance of its last sentence, for example, isn’t clear. I thought that the Zanzibar Treaty was not fully explained. In the history section, the sentences about the membership of the league should be moved to the doctrine section. I thought it would be helpful to cite the source of the four tenets. The last claim that the entry makes about Nazism isn’t well supported or cited, so I am unsure as to its validity.

Merger

[edit]

There is also a page for the Alldeutscher Verband. Given that the Alldeutscher Verband and the Pan-German League are the same group, these pages should be merged.--A.S. Brown (talk) 02:56, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

'Ideology'

[edit]

The purpose of the League was to nurture and protect the ideology of German nationality....

"Ideology of ... nationality" is nonsensical. Nationality as used here is an ethnic designation. An ideology is a set of abstract ideas or beliefs, e.g. the ideology of Nazism, the ideology of Communism, etc.
Changed to "ethos of German nationality." Sca (talk) 19:05, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
