Palm Valley crater

[edit]

Breaking story: Palm Valley is the location of the Palm Valley crater. See also Gosses Bluff crater. --Pawyilee (talk) 14:21, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As the "discoverer" of this proposed crater, I suggest we leave it off the main page until we find more solid evidence that it was a meteorite crater. For now, we have a lot of circumstantial evidence, but not the "Class A diagnostics" that are required to absolutely confirm a meteoritic origin. This is probably due to its small size and old age, but regardless, we need more evidence. Dhamacher (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:57, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Concordia

[edit]

Currently the Concordia is listed as a related link. I don't see the relevance.Ordinary Person (talk) 06:11, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In 1832, white people living in a valley believed to be Palm Valley were reported by an inland expedition. They were said to be descendants of the crew of the perished Concordia - although the story is regarded as a hoax nowadays.[1] See also the Concordia article. Maybe a mention in this article would not be misplaced. Regards, Pim Rijkee (talk) 07:13, 29 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
