WP:Æ and English orthography don't apply here, because this is a proper name. She is credited as "PÆNDA" on the Eurovision website. The alternative (simplified) spelling "Paenda" is also used in secondary sources and should therefore be a redirect. Just as Baerum is a redirect to Bærum. — Ætoms[talk]10:37, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Leaning opposed: In the article, I found only one English-language source that mentions her, and it uses the current title without the unusual character. Her own official website uses mosly "PAENDA" (without the unusual character), and so does her YouTube channel and Facebook page and Instagram and TikTok and Amazon Music and Apple Music and Spotify. If I understand correctly, on Wikipedia we're supposed to look to English-language independent reliable sources. I have had some difficulty finding those for this subject. Several of the non-English sources also do not use the special character. — BarrelProof (talk) 23:25, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. It appears that "Pænda" was used a stage name for Eurovision, but not for much else in any substantive way. Perhaps a style/branding choice for a short period as part of Eurovision and for the related musical releases from that era. In addition to the social media links above, recent single and album covers use the simpler "Paenda" spelling. Grk1011 (talk) 13:09, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Most sources used in the article support the "Paenda" spelling with the ash ligature, so under WP:COMMONNAME this spelling should be used, and also concur with the above comments regarding social media/artist credits in published materials.
