"origin of the name is unknown...". At a guess, I expect it's a play on the word ox. Similiar to the US product Jello? Markb12:28, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Note:
Campbells Soups UK was bought by Premier Foods earlier in the year. Also, the guy who said the Worksop factory has closed down, is clearly out of his tree. It hasn't, and has in fact become the biggest ex-Campbells site even before the takeover. A lot of lines from Kings Lynn were moved to Worksop. I've edited this accordingly, but you may need to reword to make more sense! 91.84.13.10617:10, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Does anyone know the history of Oxo in Canada? The disambiguation page states it was formerly here. From what I can see Knorr (brand) has rights to distribute the product under the Oxo name, but I don't know the history behind their acquiring said rights. --dotDarkCloud (talk) 23:29, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The Oxo cube (as opposed to generic stock cubes) was created by Charles Gunther who presumably also founded the company. This isn't noted in the article. Supporting link [1]. danno_uk20:35, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The article does need to be expanded to cover the presence of the Oxo brand in other countries - who owns the brand, where are the products manufactured, which products are marketed and so on. There is no UK product equivalent to your Belgian liquid gravy. In the UK, the brand is overwhemingly known for 'Oxo cubes' - it is the dominant stock cube brand by a long distance. --Ef80 (talk) 15:39, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
