This article does not include information about the file extension OpenCanvas uses for its own program called an OCI (.oci) file. In the English version, it calls it an "openCanvas paper image". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Syrcaid (talk • contribs) 22:25, July 19, 2006
- "openCanvas Image"? --Ampersand2006 ( & ) 02:30, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Why is this article in NPOV section?
- Elegant lines and a smooth drawing touch.
- The main word here is "elegant", but I don't know a word that can replace it and still stays NPOV. - 69.69.91.155 02:47, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
When was the first version (the one with the network support) published? --Yamavu (talk) 22:19, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
why "open"?
[edit]Nice, I wonder why they choose open prefix, when it is not open in any means.. I guess, I will never understand japanese... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.14.196.233 (talk) 14:31, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
- I assume, open is meant in the sense of sharing, not in the sense of Open Source. On the other hand what means the -shop in Photoshop? Yamavu (talk) 18:19, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- workshop most likely -- 109.77.232.250 (talk) 18:37, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- Free as in beer, not free as in open-source. Used to be, at least. Anybody know any recent freeware app that has the same functionality for online multiplayer painting or drawing? Like, brushes, layers, layer blending modes, and such. Also, the recording or script files or whatever they were called were quite handy. You could download them and they played the entire session in timelapse. Same when you joined an on-going session: You would see the entire session in timelapse move before your eyes, until you reached the point where the stream was now. And what this entire genre of graphic apps is even called.
- workshop most likely -- 109.77.232.250 (talk) 18:37, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- The German article calls it "paint chats", and lists a few more examples: PictoChat, Drawpile, and a few browser apps: PaintChatApp, Ziteboard, Twiddla, iScribble, RateMyDrawings, and Queeky. Some people have told me it would also be possible with Photopea and Krita somehow. Vital information on those issues is certainly missing from the article (and English Wikipedia in general). --2003:DA:CF09:1409:9CB9:EF5F:921C:6F3C (talk) 04:56, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
Quality Improvement
[edit]This article needs a screenshot of the most recent version of the program or the program logo to help aid in the quality of the article. It is also missing information about its initial development and owners, as well as the names of each version of openCanvas. Emyr Campanella (talk) 03:52, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Sad little article.
[edit]I came here to find out about the application, all I found was multiple system requirements list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.32.193.80 (talk) 17:18, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
