[edit]New box office score from straz center PM Janet Jackson Concert Breaks Box Office Record Janet Jackson Concert Breaks Box Office Record at the Straz Center!
The $330,717 gross of the Sunday, Dec. 4, concert by international superstar Janet Jackson smashed the Straz Center’s long-standing record for gross of a single performance. A concert capacity crowd of 2,548 was on hand in Carol Morsani Hall for Jackson’s Number Ones, Up Close and Personal World Tour. Jackson gave the ecstatic audience two encores that capped an evening of greatest hits that included “The Pleasure Principle,” “Control,” “Nasty,” “Escapade” and “Rhythm Nation. 0 http://www2.tbo.com/news/breaking-news/2011/dec/05/janet-jackson-concert-breaks-straz-box-office-reco-ar-331424/ The current image posted on the page is a promo poster for the Hong Kong tour date. 1 week ago, I uploaded a new version of the poster without the foreign text. User:Itsbydesign reverted to the initial version they uploaded without explanation, three times. Two days ago the user left a message on my talk page saying "Replacing with a blank poster is not a promotional item", "you are alluding other Wikipedia users that the poster was obtained from the same sources", and "replacing an image because you "feel" is not better is not acceptable, your personal opinion is not a o plausible reason in Wikipedia".
The image I uploaded should be used as the main image because it is the Official Poster; Hong Kong isn't the only date on this tour, and a poster exits that is of the same image without all of the foreign text. Thoughts on which image should be used? Ga Be 19 05:56, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yes of course, the worldwide poster is much better accepted than a single venue one. My question is, has teh poster been uploded anywhere on Janet's official website or any article shows it as the official tour poster? If so, then you can definitely use the worldwide poster. Forget Itsbydesign, he's disruptive in every article. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:34, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- I retrieved the poster from her official Facebook page. - Ga Be 19 06:47, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Then its fine to have it, and ask any admin to delete the older versions of the multiple uploads. If Itsbydesign reverts it, let me know, I will warn him for continuing disruptions through all the tour articles. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:56, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Alrighty, thanks for your input! :) - Ga Be 19 07:11, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Did a 6 year-old write the "relevant" section?
[edit]Not exactly the best effort there, bucko. 24.211.215.187 (talk) 03:04, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Tickets remain available for the US shows
[edit]Only one is currently sold out. 24.211.211.161 (talk) 04:01, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Critical Reception
[edit]"Ben Ratliff of The New York Times found her intimate show compelling..." He said no such thing. I've balanced the critical statements to show both positive and negative opinions of the show, since there's some of both. 24.211.211.161 (talk) 04:01, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
"Dedicated Song"
[edit]In the data table for the concerts, we had a space for "Dedicated Song. " But the User:Itsbydesign removed. I support the space for "Dedicated Song".
Thanks, --La Bouche 19:49, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- 1,000,000,000% AGREE!!!!! I first added a section for Dedicated songs about two weeks ago when the first song was announced, but disruptive editor User:Itsbydesign removed it, calling it "redundant". Now that more songs have been announced from her official website, I fully support its addition. — Gabe 19 (talk contribs) 20:06, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, it's essential for the article, because this tour is for celebrate her 34 number ones hits and "Nothing", in 35 cities.

- The user don't attend this discussion, so I put it again.

Set list
[edit]Could this be deemed as a reliable (enough) source for the set list?? — Gabe 19 (talk contribs) 06:45, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- I added the Set list section again. It looks like it had been added at least twice prior to this, so hopefully third time's a charm. I have referenced three separate sources -- two from the Pasay concert, one from the Singapore show. While these references may not be "official" enough for some, they should suffice. Please leave this section in tact. Besides, as far as sources go, the Rock Witchu Tour page's set list has a source that is no longer in existence, and the All For You Tour page's set list isn't sourced at all. - StarIV (talk) 20:14, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- The problem with the sources that are provided are their reliability. Fan cites aren't an acceptable source, and I'm on the fence with the setlist.com source. As for the Rock Witchu Tour and All For You Tour, sources need to be found for them. Rolling Stone is a highly reliable source, but since their recent redesign, the source needs to be replaced. — Gabe 19 (talk contribs) 21:06, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
- I added the set list back and will continue to do so if it gets deleted again. While I do agree that it might need a better print source, there have been a slew of videos from shows thus far as well as first person accounts (see the third source) listing tracks played. - StarIV (talk) 18:49, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

I have complied a set list based upon an elaborte review from The Malay Mail. The review can be seen here and is referenced in the article. There was no mention of "Nasty" so I did not include it in the setlist
- It was a little confusing for some to grasp, and curious non-fans mulled over it as the music video of the So So Def Remix version Someone To Call My Lover (featuring Jermaine Dupri) - one of her hits dedicated to the Singapore stopover - played on the big screens.
- And after what seemed like an eternity, 'Janet' was plastered all over the screens and the roof came down with thunderous applause and cheers as the opening strains of music revealed Pleasure Principle as the opener.
- She sped through an energetic medley that followed with Control, What Have You Done For Me Lately and Feedback that had the crowd on their feet from the get-go.
- Everything seemed to move at hyper speed from then on with You Want This and Alright before Miss You Much.
- A montage of Janet's TV and film career played on, highlighting her more poignant moments in Good Times, Diff'rent Strokes, Fame, Poetic Justice, Nutty Professor II, and Why Did I Get Married?
- [...] as she brought the pace down to deliver Nothing, Come Back To Me, Let's Wait Awhile and finally Again.
- Then it was on to another medley of her recognisable hits that included Doesn't Really Matter, Escapade, Love Will Never Do (Without You), When I Think Of You and All For You.
- Janet moved into That's The Way Love Goes before yet another costume change.
- For fans, the numerous display of her threads were a bonus, while for Janet it must have been one of key points to highlight how she is in the best physical shape ever in years.
- A short musical interlude with a couple of lines of What About were thrown in before Janet turned up the volume with Black Cat, If, Scream and RhythmNation, bringing down the roof of the venue
- A white jumpsuit change, and Janet obliged for fans' chants for more when she appeared for an encore after daring the audience to Make Me.
- Nothing however could have prepared any of the concert-goer in attendance for Janet to hit an emotional nerve as she went on to Together Again. Itsbydesign (talk) 03:41, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
Source for the Dedicated Songs
[edit]Hi. The official Janet website stopped posting the dedicated songs for each city after Toronto. What is now the source of the dedicated songs after Toronto? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aug17 (talk • contribs) 17:33, 30 March 2011 (UTC) Aug17 (talk) 18:32, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
End date for tour isn't August 22.
[edit]The end date for the tour is still TBD. The tour has been extended into the fall; dates are still being added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.61.99.75 (talk) 22:54, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Gross $60 million
[edit]The tour has grossed $60 million worldwide according to ShowBiz411 - http://www.showbiz411.com/2012/07/23/janet-jackson-tries-to-take-michaels-kids-has-she-lost-her-mind# Pollstar writes gross from only 58 shows out of total 81, hence this change must be made. I expect administrators to be genuine and update this truth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Encoreameya (talk • contribs) 22:27, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, Showbiz411 is not reliable. Can you provide any other source like Billboard, Rolling Stone or MTV?. Chrishonduras (Diskussion) 06:26, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
It is as reliable as Billboard or MTV are. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Encoreameya (talk • contribs) 15:21, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
I am making change using above figure, if you have any queries then talk with me on this page or on my talk page. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Encoreameya (talk • contribs) 18:29, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
