Mistranslated Terms
[edit]In the Malay language, 'Ahli Nujum' can be translated to either mean a seer or an astrologer. Therefore, 'Ahli Nujum Negara' would be literally translated as the National Astrologer or National Seer with the former being used in the original English subtitles of the movie itself (actually it used 'Royal Astrologer') but the latter being the more accurate description given that titular character was indeed shown as having such an ability by managing to (accidentally) use magical remote viewing using a bowl of water (the local Malay culture analog to crystal balls used by fortune tellers).
Additionally, "Belalang" does not translate into 'cricket' in English. It translates into 'grasshopper' and it was indeed a grasshopper which was held by the Sultan of Masai during the impromptu test after the official duel of wits between the two countries' seers. - Azharuddin (talk) 11:43, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
