Why is there an asterisk beside the Labour vote total for 2010? What does it signify? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.187.20.34 (talk) 17:43, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing text

[edit]

I am not sure what the following text in the History section of the article is supposed to mean "however in 2015 saw the lowest share of the Labour Party's vote nationally – reinforcing a consistent result by a great majority supporting left-wing politics to vote for a Liberal and later Liberal Democrat at general elections since the seat's inception." This comes right after a discussion of Labour's vote in the constituency in 1951, which seems odd and I really fail to see what point is being made. 2015 was not Labour's lowest share of the vote in the UK (2010 was lower for a start) and the Labour vote in North Cornwall was higher than it had been in 2010. The 2015 contest was actually notable for the massive decrease in the Lib Dem incumbent's share of the vote which led to a comfortable Conservative gain. I would therefore propose removing this text as it seems to be both unclear and inaccurate. Dunarc (talk) 19:59, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
