Edit request
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello, great article but it is missing some information for completeness. I would like to request two changes to the existing text, and one suggestion to add to the text.
Firstly, please replace "Prior to this he was the President of Unilever's Home Care business, a role he was appointed to on 1 October 2013" with "Prior to this he was the President of Unilever's Food and Refreshment business, a role he was appointed in 2018. Before this, he headed the Home Care business from 1 October 2013." Source: https://www.unilever.com/about/who-we-are/our-leadership/nitin-paranjpe.html"
Second, please also replace "Assistant to the Unilever Chairman" with "Executive Assistant to the Chair and Unilever Executive Committee" as per the same source.
Lastly, to make sure everything is correct and complete, I would like to request two additional sentences. To the existing text, under the Career subheading, and after "Paranjpe became the CEO of the Indian business and Executive Vice President for the South Asia region in 2008, a role he performed until Oct of 2013, when he became President of Unilever's Home Care business.", please add: "After doing this for 5 years, he became President of food and refreshments and member of the Unilever Leadership Executive on 1 January, 2018. He is currently Unilever’s Chief Operating Officer, a role he was appointed in May of 2019." as per the same source, as well as source: https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/companies/all-you-need-to-know-about-nitin-paranjpe-the-newly-crowned-coo-of-unilever-3649971.html.

- Hello Pauline, and thank you for your request. Before we proceed, I wanted to point out that if the COI editor receives, or expects to receive, compensation for any contribution they make, they must disclose their employer, client, and affiliation to comply with Wikipedia's terms of use and the policy on paid editing. I see the disclosure you have made your talk page (thank you for that) but I see that an employer, client, or affiliation (if you have them) have not been stated. If this is so, please indicate that in your disclosure. Thank you for your help. If you could also ensure that the major terms in your proposal are Wikilinked (such as Unilever's Home Care business and a Wikilink to Unilever's Food and Refreshments sections[a]) that would also be appreciated. As far as a photo, that must first be uploaded to Wikipedia along with the appurtenant use license before it may be added to the article. You may use the File Upload Wizard to accomplish this. When ready to proceed, kindly change the
{{request edit}}
template's answer parameter to read from|ans=yes
to|ans=no
. Thank you! - Regards, Spintendo 14:44, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
Notes
- ^ This should be a Wikilink to Unilever's Home Care business and the Wikilink to Unilever Food and Refreshments sections themselves, and not links to just Unilever. If no links exist for these divisions, the claims would not be added.
- Hi @Spintendo:, thank you so much for your help and suggestions. I have updated the disclosure on my talk page to include the fact that Unilever is my employer. I have also Wikilinked the two terms suggested, linking to the list of brands that make up the divisions. Regarding the image, since I am not making direct edits, and an account is confirmed only after making 10 edits, I am unfortunately not able to upload a photo. Is there another way to do this? Thank you again for your help and guidance!
- All the best, PaulineRotterdam (talk) 09:05, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for adding the Wikilinks, it's much appreciated. Unfortunately, I cannot add the information, because the request has not stated which information already in the article is to be removed/replaced. As far as the image, you may make your request to upload an image at files for upload. Regards, Spintendo 12:12, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
- Hi @Spintendo:, I see my initial request was not clear on this, apologies. I have now updated it to be more clear on what specifically should be replaced in the already existing text. I have also deleted my question to upload a photo, as I will follow your guidance above to doing so. Many thanks for your help. PaulineRotterdam (talk) 06:59, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- @PaulineRotterdam: I have made the requested changes, but I have avoided the sources from Unilever website. Instead, I have added other secondary sources. Thanks - Thebiv19 (talk) 14:50, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
