GA Review

[edit]

Article (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch

Hi! I'll be reviewing this article for GA status, and should have the full review up soon. Dana boomer (talk) 13:35, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
    • The first sentence of the lead is really long. Please break this into two or even three sentences.
    • In the history section, you say "east to the drawbridge in Belford and run across meadows." What exactly is meant by "run across meadows"? Do you mean it goes through fields? If so, the wording seems a little odd. Perhaps change to "Belford, and then on through more rural fields and meadows"...or something...
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
    • Please make sure refs are in numerical order. I noticed this mainly in the lead and the History section.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

A couple of issues with prose and referencing, so I am putting the article on hold. Let me know if you have any questions. Dana boomer (talk) 14:31, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have gone back and made the suggested changes. Dough4872 (talk) 16:41, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
