Non-notable

No search results for this agency on major trades Adweek or Advertising Age. Jokestress 16:07, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Notable

ND&P has appeared in both; is a top healthcare marketer with clients across the country including Mercy Hospital System in Philadelphia, Georgetown University Hospital in DC, Rex at UNC/Chapel Hill and the Carolinas system in NC/SC; Also was a top winner in southeast awards and healthcare awards this year. I did not want to mention this notable information or many other national facts of our work for fear of violating the the Wiki rules on advertising. Please advise how to rewrite what is available to both show notoriety and avoid issues of blatant marketing. Thanks. Ndpagency 16:43, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

New York Times only has one mention of NDP five years ago, to say it lost the Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation new business pitch. The citations and awards are all regionally-based. Any national coverage? If not, any non-trade local coverage you can include? Also, please provide links to the Adweek and Ad Age stories you mention. You need to explain why this is a notable agency. As long as your cited sources are third party, it's not advertising, but reporting. Jokestress 16:48, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
The two healthcare awards links above are both national and the agency has appeared in a lead story in Profiles in Healthcare Marketing. Major stories in Adweek (not coming up in online searches but I have them here in front of me): October 8, 2004; December 2, 2002; July 30, 2001; December 10, 2001. Most recently in AdAge was in the Weekly Hotspot. I'm a little confused as to your questions on regional award shows and then you ask for local news coverage. We appear relatively regularly in the Richmond Times Dispatch if that helps. And the article is sourced using the AdClub article linked at its bottom; I'll correct the article to reflect that sourcing more clearly-- but it was not created with third-party sourcing. With that said, I'll be sure to augment the article to include the recently won awards with the proper citations.Ndpagency 17:10, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Cool. The real goal should be to add superlatives to explain notability: the biggest agency, the most of this or that, etc. As it stands, the article does not explain why the agency is famous, even in the specialized healthcare segment or in the local market. It is the biggest in the state? The oldest? That kind of thing will help your case. Jokestress 17:18, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. In previous pages on Wiki, I've noted that its the superlatives of non-A-list entries that got them tagged for deletion, so I was perhaps unduly cautious. I've updated the article. I'm still trying to be careful to not get too braggart here for fear of setting off different Wiki contributors that would see the entry as an ad. The other issue I'm running into is the fact that healthcare entries are SERIOUSLY lacking on Wiki-- many major hospitals (in some localities the only hospitals) have no entry. Anyway... Hopefully the entry is okay now. I'm just trying to make sure we're at least as notable as a cable-access station in England :) Ndpagency 17:38, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
NOTE: I've made a big update after taking all your comments and critique into consideration. The article now displays what you asked for much more clearly and sharply. Thanks for your help. What are the next steps to get the spam tag off?Ndpagency 18:55, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I removed the speedy delete tag, but this may still be subject to Articles for Deletion in the future. Your best defense is to include journalistic articles, especially national coverage. Jokestress 18:59, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
