East Timor?

[edit]

is there an official university source for calling it the NU of East Timor instead of the NU of Timor-Leste? Timor-Leste is as far as I can tell the official name of the country in English. --142.163.195.187 (talk) 17:11, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

National University of East TimorNational University of Timor-Leste – What is the official English name of this university? The official website has an English version that is non-functional. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 22:34, 25 December 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Frost 15:13, 2 January 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 16:25, 9 January 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 18:32, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: Given the recent closure of the parent topic, which is closed as move to 'Timor Leste'. See Talk:East_Timor#Requested_move_16_December_2024. – robertsky (talk) 18:32, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Support proposed title, while usage of various titles is mixed this would align with the main article for Timor-Leste. Turnagra (talk) 23:11, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

National University of Timor-LesteUniversidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e – Per the discussion above there isn't a clear common English name. Rather than use what is apparently a descriptive name to disambiguate National University, it would be recogniseable and natural to use the actual name, as shown by the acronym UNTL being already used throughout.
