East Timor?
[edit]is there an official university source for calling it the NU of East Timor instead of the NU of Timor-Leste? Timor-Leste is as far as I can tell the official name of the country in English. --142.163.195.187 (talk) 17:11, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

National University of East Timor → National University of Timor-Leste – What is the official English name of this university? The official website has an English version that is non-functional. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 22:34, 25 December 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Frost 15:13, 2 January 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. - Comment this should be held, and continue to be relisted until Wikipedia:Move review § Timor-Leste has been resolved, as that would impact this discussion. TiggerJay (talk) 05:11, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: Given the recent closure of the parent topic, which is closed as move to 'Timor Leste'. See Talk:East_Timor#Requested_move_16_December_2024. – robertsky (talk) 18:32, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
- It's a Tetum/Portuguese university, not an English one. It may be worth moving to "Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e", as the current "National University of East Timor", "National university of Timor Lorosa’e", and "National University of Timor-Leste" all seem to be in mixed use. CMD (talk) 01:52, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support proposed title, while usage of various titles is mixed this would align with the main article for Timor-Leste. Turnagra (talk) 23:11, 24 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support as proposed and now that East Timor has been moved to Timor-Leste per consensus over there. TiggerJay (talk) 07:10, 25 January 2025 (UTC)

National University of Timor-Leste → Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e – Per the discussion above there isn't a clear common English name. Rather than use what is apparently a descriptive name to disambiguate National University, it would be recogniseable and natural to use the actual name, as shown by the acronym UNTL being already used throughout.
