1985 or 1986

[edit]

The intro states that the NSG was enacted in 1985 but the History section say it was enacted in 1986. Which is it? Peet Ern (talk) 00:54, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Shield Emblem resolution is far too small.

[edit]

The shield emblem of the NSG in the info box is very very low resolution, around 100x100 and when used in the infobox is highly pixelated (blocky) and not very clear. I think it should be replaced with one of much higher resolution and quality in order to be more easily identifiable and readable. As this is a government agency there are no trademark or copyright issues nor is a wikipedia article misrepresenting itself as an official page, therefore there is no reason not to have a full quality picture of the emblem. Could someone please upload a new higher res emblem and replace the current one in the infobox? --I (talk) 13:07, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I can try and make a SVG image, but obviously given the size of the logo and some other images I've seen on the NSG's official website, I won't be working with much. I'll try to see if I can piece something together. AreJay (talk) 15:46, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Organization Name is Incorrect

[edit]

The correct name for the organization is the National Security Guard. The name is already in plural form. Its members are not "National Security Guards". This error is in the title, in the wikipedia URL, as well as several places in the article. Checking the official website of the NSG confirms this. RajeevA (talk) 21:41, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Indian Armed Forces

[edit]

Somebody wrote that NSG are a paramilitary unit of the Indian Armed Forces. How can an agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs be a unit of the Indian Armed Forces (under Defense Ministry)? Please refrain from adding false information. --Incidious (talk) 07:17, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why no mention of the mumbai attacks?

[edit]

NSG was used in mumbai terrorist attacks, why is there no reference to it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.154.15.162 (talk) 22:46, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If I were them, I don't think I'd want it mentioned either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alxross (talkcontribs) 03:22, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"In Fiction" section needs citations

[edit]

The "In Fiction" page needs citations or it may be removed. The information is irrelevant. Kenfyre (talk) 02:04, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Source for ops

[edit]

What is the source for all these ops they have taken part in? Anurag2k12 (talk) 20:00, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am guessing that the editor adding these added them from memory/blog/defence magazine, and didn't matter adding sources. A citation needed tag is needed for the sections. I have tried to locate sources for some, some wikilinks to the operation main articles. Hope you can add more. Thanks! Anir1uph (talk) 06:10, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I can source some of them. Already doing the Black Thunder part. But this page needs more than one editor, I alone won't be able locate all the sources. Anurag2k12 (talk) 14:57, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with NSG hub, Hyderabad

[edit]

There is no not enough reason to have a separate article about NSG Hub in Hyderabad. This is not WP:NEWS. This article derives it's WP:GNG from National Security Guard and thus should be merged there. Adamgerber80 (talk) 00:21, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
