How is this a necessary or useful content fork from Fort Breendonk? --Andreas Philopater (talk) 21:53, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The content has not been fork from any page, but done from scratch. The main reason is that many of the national memorials have a specific page in Dutch, so I decided to begin the translation of them. For those that did not have, I try to evaluate first a possible relevance. This memorial has about 100,000 visitors per year, but with a special focus of schools via pedagogical material. This pedagogical material is also in several aspects pointing to a broader context than the history of the Fort Breendonk itself (which also was not only an extermination camp of SS but have itself a longer history). The infobox of the Fort Breendonk does not inform about the existence of National Memorial monuments in their fields, instead the specific pages for National Memorials have their infobox with further information. Other example is Kamp Amersfoort National Monument translated from Dutch (which has both a page of the Kamp and a page of the National Monument), or National Monument Camp Vught. Regarding your question: yes, it can be merged in the Fort Breendonk, but maybe then we should proceed also to remove the pages of other National Memorial Monuments AyubuZimbale (talk) 16:42, 23 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
