I cleaned up this article and took out the clean up tag. This article is good but it would be improved with more information about the contest itself: it's history, how it is judged, how many contestants take place, how the winners advance, etc. Hdstubbs 23:17, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
This article is full of incorrect information. I am an NHD student. Someone really should correct the problems. Really sad and may discourage students who wish to compete. 172.190.173.222 05:47, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Is it possible for students to link each subtitle to a project fitting that category. Several people have papers online in journals, youtube is filled with docs. Home pages have pics of exhibits and so on. If the student links to their own work- would this be allowed to show examples of what finished projects look like? 68.231.132.100 12:39, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone monitor these pages68.231.132.100 05:06, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Is there any way to chat with with someone from wiki so that I don't have to wait hoping someone looks here to answer questions? 65.54.154.115 04:20, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
I would like to add that the Dr. Kalmar category is no joke! She seriously is an extreme contributer to the National History Day scene, and I thus believe she should be included in this article.Saved293 00:14, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh that is so true —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.109.124.232 (talk) 20:09, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Looking good. What an improvement. Thanks History! I assume you are an NHD student or alumni. 68.231.132.100 20:37, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Hey, does anyone know where to find sample NHD website submissions? I am doing a website, and I would like to see some examples...
too new to the NHD. There just are not any examples available yet. Try asking in the NHD student forum68.231.132.100 19:37, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
I've been cleaning up this article, haven't started "Performance" "Website" "Process Paper and Annotated Bibliography" "State" "Regional" "Preliminaries" "Finals" or "Nationals" Mercruz (talk) 19:48, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Can somebody please help?! There's so much to be done and I'm still learning. Can someone review my work? Mercruz (talk) 00:42, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
It would be helpful if I knew what day National History Day was... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.213.0.155 (talk) 09:32, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
I changed the 2016 topic to "Migration and Movement in History"
[edit]Parts of this article sound advertisement-like to me: "leading model", "highly regarded", etc. 67.49.157.215 (talk) 23:05, 8 December 2007 (UTC) The citations are from the actual website. They apparently hold themselves in high regardJjohnston90 (talk) 01:43, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
How-to and advert
[edit]This article is chock-full of advertisements and howto so I deleted all the howto/tips and toned down the amount of advertising. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Styrofoam1994 (talk • contribs) 16:34, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
We should probably cite where we're getting this information. I got all of mine from the nationalhistoryday.org website, but I don't know how to site. USer:mercruz|mercruz|contribs]]) 15:27, 16 January 2008 (PST)
Never mind. I've cleaned it up a bit and removed a chunk of the advertisement stuff. Haven't finished yet thoughMercruz (talk) 22:07, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Started editing. Almost done. Mercruz (talk) 22:16, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Full list of themes?
[edit]We have a full list of previous themes at http://education.mnhs.org/historyday/theme-information and https://www.nhd.org/previous-annual-themes . Should that be included?Naraht (talk) 12:29, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
- A bit late to the party, but offhand I would say no - the reason for this is that there are decades of themes. I would only include ones that have received particularly large amounts of attention or are tied to a landmark with NHD, such as a 50 year anniversary and so on. Disclosure
[edit]I tried doing a small bit of cleanup to the impact section as it pertains to the study. I thought it best to note that the NHD organization did fund the study and was the one who reached out to the researchers in question. I think the section as a whole could be done much better - there do seem to be sources out there that cover this independently, so if I have time I'll try to rectify this.
