Article scope
[edit]I think this should become an overview article, with expanded coverage of other uses and users of the National brand. The current contents should become a subsection of the article, with a main link to Panasonic. National Panasonic should probably redirect to Panasonic rather than to here, but not all that important.
National String Instrument Corporation at least should have a section (again with a main link) and I expect there will be others. Andrewa (talk) 18:56, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
National (brand)
[edit]We purchased one National (made in Japan) steam iron for home from Kuwait in the year 1985...The above steam iron is so nice that still in 2020 it is working regularly & perfectly since then...We shall be thankful if we get the same another one...kindly send the source ....Thanks, Praveen Jain (INDIA) Mob. 9312671546 email: praveenjain352@yahoo.com
Slogans.
[edit]A couple of other slogans might be added here. I could do it myself, only I have no references - just personal memory of seeing them in their time.
One applying specifically to the National brand was "There's so much more to National".
Another, which from memory I think was used in conjunction with "National Panasonic" as a "double" brand name, was "Just slightly ahead of our time".
If I can find references, I will add them to the article some time. But I'm not sure if it would be proper for me to do so now. M.J.E. (talk) 14:40, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
Image removal
[edit]This edit with the edit summary 無関係の情報が含まれています。 記事に関連しない情報を削除しました。(translation: Unrelated information is included. We deleted information not related to articles.) seems unconstructive to me. The image is perfectly relevant. The removed text is unsourced but if accurate is encyclopedic. Andrewa (talk) 07:06, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
- On reflection I have reverted that edit, and have raised some issues on the user's talk page. Andrewa (talk) 19:27, 14 November 2017 (UTC)

National alive in Sweden 1982?
[edit]The article says that Panasonic retired the National brand in Europe in 1980. However I found this match program for Djurgårdens IF (Sweden) dated October 1982 which clearly was sponsored either by National or whoever was the general agent. If the brand already was defuct, why would they buy advertising for it?
