[edit]

This article is linked to the First Nations in Alberta nav box, but is not actually referring to the Stoney First Nation. It's confusing because it's discussing the Nakoda peoples broadly, instead of the First Nation specifically.Yiwahikanak 06:27, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Needs creation --Skookum1
Should this be part of Assiniboine article since 1) they are both Nakota and 2) both have the same name, but one using English and the other French, unless you're talking specifically about the Stoney First Nation and not the Stoney people in general? --CJLippert
Apparently, Nakoda (people) already exists, so I redirect Stoney people there for now. A stub, needs expansion. --Miskwito 19:06, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

– Per WP:NOPRIMARY, Nakoda should be a disambiguation page. The addition of (Stoney) in the first title is nonstandard and confusing. 162 etc. (talk) 14:42, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Saskatchewan

[edit]

Are there Stoney, as distinct from Assiniboine, reserves in Saskatchewan, as this article says? Did the Stoney, distinct from Assiniboine, once occupy large tracts of Saskatchewan and Montana? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.77.37.23 (talk) 03:24, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
