Merger proposal
[edit]Whilst not questioning the significance of the ancient commentary about historical figures and kingdom, I suggest this text be merged into the main article on the Book of Nahum instead of having a separate article for Nahum 2 (and feasibly for Nahum 1 and Nahum 3). - BobKilcoyne (talk) 03:42, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
- The article was created because there is lack of context with the continuity of content in the Book of Nahum. The prophecy in the ancient commentary is distinctive for Nahum 2, and will cite that article instead of the whole book. Hence, the consideration is to have a separate article, connected to the main book with a navigation box. Peace. JohnThorne (talk) 18:33, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
Sorry, John, I don't understand the point you are making. I've just put a Book of Nahum link into Nahum Commentary as there was none in the main text before anyway. Unless you are planning separate articles on Nahum 1 and Nahum 3, my preference would be a single article covering the contents of the whole book. The navigation box has links to Nahum 1 and Nahum 3 which are both re-directs to the article on the whole book. Peace too. - BobKilcoyne (talk) 06:09, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for your advice, Bob. Nahum 1 and Nahum 3 are now extended to be articles. Peace. JohnThorne (talk) 19:30, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you, John - sorry for the delay in follow-up. I'm happy to withdraw the merger proposal now, but note that User:Auric has also now been looking at the merger proposal. I will withdraw the proposal unless there are any objections. - BobKilcoyne (talk) 05:31, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
