Name?
[edit]Does the name mean something like "New national bank?" Any Icelandic speakers, please clarify. Thanks. --Amble (talk) 04:10, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. New bank of the land. Haukur (talk) 07:58, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you, Haukur. --Amble (talk) 08:02, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Name of the bank
[edit]I'm not sure the name NBI should be used for the article. The bank still trades under the name Landsbanki, even though NBI is the official name of the company. What do other people think? --Sterio (talk) 18:23, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- They opperate under the old name because name changes are really expensive. Íslandsbanki still uses Glitnir on new debit/credit cards because of that reason according to a service representative there. --Stefán Örvarr Sigmundsson (talk) 19:20, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
