Maori mythology and the area
[edit]There is some significance to Maori and this is mentioned in the heritage NZ report and magazine article but it is beyond me. It is loaded with uncommon Maori words and talks about a taniwha as if it were real. We obviously cannot state this in wikivoice but pre-appending 'in Maori mythology' is technically OR as the source doesn't mention nor suggest that it is mythological and not factual.
I don't have a solution and invite discussion from those more learned in Maori mythology. I do not oppose inclusion but I do oppose anything in line with the Heritage NZ report that reports these claims as factual instead of mythological. Traumnovelle (talk) 22:00, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
