Alleged death reported
[edit]On March 18 2024, Inomata's younger sister announced her passing on March 10 via Twitter. [1]https://twitter.com/inomatanekomata/status/1769574473504883081
This needs a reliable source for posting in BLP. TRL (talk) 04:49, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Trlovejoy: It's her own Twitter account, established as hers before. In the ghastly scenario of an account takeover and a fake death report as some sort of cruel prank (which, if true, has already had plenty of time for people to call it out and say "wait no that's not true"), we'll roll it back later, but this is the kind of case where being a stickler doesn't make sense. - (To be clear, if a totally random account claims someone died on Twitter, I'd agree with you 100%. If a social media account / website / blog / etc. clearly established to be that person's account makes such a claim, though, it's a lot more reasonable to take it as face value, and then replace it later once the news stories roll in.)
