GA Nomination

[edit]

I'd like to nominate this article for GA. It's got all of that wonderful francophobic propaganda we love on WP. Upon reading this, the Germans are portrayed as poor little sheeps in the hands of the nasty Frenchmen who were out to "frenchify", "starve", and "exploit" them. Perfect! We should also mention that the holocaust was a French idea, and realization. I know that's not exactly true, but I count on you Wikipedian brothers to find an appropriate way to formulate this claim into plausible terms, as well as to come up with the seasonal francophobic literature on the subject. To work, my friends! Don't forget: "work makes you free". 77.2.139.142 (talk) 19:54, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

More description of the Modernization and Re-equipment Plan would be helpful

[edit]

The Monnet Plan is known formally as the French “Modernization and Re-equipment Plan.” It was a plan to guide the country in its economic recovery and reconstruction following World War II. This page would be improved if it had more description of the implementation, goals, and impact of the Plan. The current text focuses on French foreign policy toward Germany after the war. This discussion would, perhaps, be better placed on a Wikipedia page on French or German postwar history. For example, “The Saar Area” section discusses a referendum in the Saar area in 1955, while the Monnet Plan ended in 1952.

Also, the page would be improved if there were more citations. One of Wikipedia’s core content policies is that information posted needs to be verifiable, based on reliable published sources. Lukebayy (talk) 21:40, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
