About to be fired
[edit]Reports abound out of Tuscaloosa and Birmingham that Shula is about to be fired. WJOX and Fox 6 in Birmingham have both reported that the board of trustees has voted to fire him. Perhaps we should put in a current event tag. -- User:Hclong3 5:00, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Shula's position as head football coach at University of Alabama was terminated on November 27th, 2006
Previous coaches
[edit]Shula's first season suffered from the decisions of the three previous alabama coaches. It seems like these unusual events would be an important part of the shula story. Dubose brings probation, Franchione quits unexpectedly and that other fellow is hired but then fired before he can coach a single game.--Chesterwill 15:09, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
Weekly coverage
[edit]I don't think we need to list the weekly achievements of the team. This is an encyclopedia for general reference with links to sites that can give more detailed season information. Ponzu 21:51, 16 October 2005 (UTC)
- Actually, editors maintaining this article with that level of detail should do so in 2006 Alabama Crimson Tide football team - a standard form under Wikiproject:College Football. See examples at 2006 Auburn Tigers football team, 2006 LSU Tigers football team, 2006 Florida Gators football team, etc. This article and the 2006 team article would, of course, crosslink. Vandalism to template
[edit]At the bottom of the page in the list of UA head coaches, a link has been added about a coach who won't reject Alabama being the next coach after Mike Shula. It needs to go. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.155.36.20 (talk • contribs)
- Thank you. Fixed by AUtiger. -- Pawl 20:16, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
Needs Updated
[edit]Will someone please remove the statement below Coach Shula's image. I find this offensive and libelous. I registered to delete this comment and place his D.O.B. as June 3, 1965. As a newly registered user, I'm not allowed to edit. ..... Thank-You ..... Opalized angel 19:56, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Shula was hired as the quarterbacks coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Updated to reflect new Miami Dolphins coaching choice in Cam Cameron -- Ghostreveries 14:54, 20 January 2007 (UTC) please Remove the crude remark from birthdate listing- it makes wikipedia look like a bathroom wall.
