Dugger? Dooger? Du Guerre? Dewar? Etc. Rothorpe (talk) 03:50, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's "dugger" - I've added a pronunciation note to the article. Keith the Koala (talk) 10:33, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks. Rothorpe (talk) 14:08, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious: Vice-Chair of the Labour Party

[edit]

1) The Vice-Chair of the Labour Party is elected by the NEC from among its own members (per Clause VII.B.i of the party constitution), not chosen by the leader of the Labour Party as this article and LabourList cite implausibly claim. It is possible this is a Vice- version of the courtesy title Labour Party Chair (2001) that Blair created in 2001, but this has no official standing and seems to be a title dropped after Ed Miliband resigned. 2) The LabourList cite is not a WP:RS, so if a WP:RS cite cannot be found, eg a newspaper, (I googled and could not find anything) I propose we drop this (also in infobox). If it is not significant enough to warrant a mention in a newspaper it is not notable enough for WP. Rwendland (talk) 16:18, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(continued) 3) The archive.org copy of the Labour Party website[1] records Angela Eagle as the constitutional Vice Chair of the Labour Party in Nov 2012, for the 2012/13 party year, which pretty much confirms Dugher was the unofficial leader appointed Vice- version of the courtesy title Labour Party Chair (2001).
