Sources?

[edit]

Lot of unsourced material in here, such as the paragraph on the 2013 World Baseball Classic, which includes some opinions that should probably be removed if not immediately sourced. I did remove a "pitching style" section that was entirely unsourced and highly subjective (a "vicious" slider?), per WP:BLP . Mr. Darcy talk 13:58, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Date

[edit]

I haven't had a chance to go through the sources, but under the Yankees section, the Ken Rosenthal date is listed as January 24, 2014. That's two days from now. Should it be today? When did Rosenthal first report it? Kjscotte34 (talk) 19:23, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

He first reported it live this morning on "Hot Stove" on the MLB Network. Not sure Rosenthal really belongs in this article though.Spanneraol (talk) 19:31, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No, it doesn't. Arizona's offer doesn't either. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:34, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the date to today. I'm not sure who added the Rosenthal and Diamondbacks material so have at it! I willingly defer. All I can say is this -- thank God it was reported and made official today. I didn't want to spend two days undoing edits on the Yankees roster :-) Kjscotte34 (talk) 19:43, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Done. And yeah, one more silly edit and I was going straight to WP:RPP, so thank you Steinbrenners for not dragging this one out! – Muboshgu (talk) 19:50, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Education assignment: Communication and Culture

Did he lose a professional game in 2013?

[edit]

This article says that Tanaka's loss on 20 May 2014 "was his first loss in any professional baseball league since August 19, 2012." However, it earlier says that he lost a game "in Game 6 of the 2013 Japan Series." This seems to be contradictory, so it should be either revised or explained. 74.71.84.182 (talk) 10:45, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
