This article must adhere to the biographies of living persons (BLP) policy, even if it is not a biography, because it contains material about living persons. [edit]I added the "Citations Needed" tag because there seem to be a lot of details in the article that did not come from either of the two sources and probably require inline citations. I didn't want to summarily delete anyone's contributions, but considering the fact that the section heading includes the word "Controversy" there might be a chance of libel, so it looks like Wikipedia's "Biographies of Living Persons" policy might suggest that the information be taken down until sources can be found.
Incidentally, I think all of the information I used to make the first few edits to the article came from the links in the "Sources" section, but my apologies if anything was incorrect and for the lack of in-line citations.

Nomination for deletion, August 2012
[edit]I have nominated this article for deletion; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Martin_Pickford for details. --Carbon Rodney 14:41, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that this article could be deleted without leaving a void. It has two sections, "Biographical details" and "Controversy and Discovery of Orrorin", which contains one subsection, "Background". That is not much of an article.--Quisqualis (talk) 18:45, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
