This page is highly subjective, and only includes negative statements about Marples. It states that: "The company was also awarded major civil engineering projects in the colonies". The phrase "The colonies" appears to be used specifically to reflect a derogatory view of the old British Empire, which hardly existed in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
