[edit]We don't do hit jobs. We don't do spin. We rely on dispassionate facts, not cherry-picked edited quotes from partisan movies and other media. See this NYT piece on the movie in question:
"Mr. Pryor, a Democrat from Arkansas, said he had not seen the movie, but that his interview with Mr. Maher was “very hostile but very constructive.” He added that he did not consider faith and evolution to be in conflict, and that the 5,000 years referred to in some Christian texts might not be literal years. " 184.78.81.245 (talk) 17:37, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose the section removal. Thanks for opening this discussion. I don't feel this constitutes biased coverage on Wikipedia's part. Senator Pryor made the decision to engage Maher in a hostile forum for his film, and personally I respect his courage for doing so. The add'l source you provide reinforces the notability of this appearance. The Las Vegas Sun "The Family" mention, IMO, also appears to reflect the source appropriately. If there are other WP:RS which disagree re: Mr. Pryor's convictions, they could also be introduced. So based on WP:BRD, I am planning to revert your change for now, but encourage others to weigh in on the topic here.Boogerpatrol (talk) 21:04, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
